Easy Sponge Cake (Melina's favorite)

Equipment

  1. Bowl

  2. Spatula

  3. Whisker

  4. Small Pan


Ingredients

  • 150 g (5 oz) Butter.

  • 3 tbs honey

  • 3 large eggs

  • 150 g (5 oz) Self raising Flour

  • Optional: You can divide the mixture and add cocoa in one half to bake an easy "marble cake".

Method

Preheat oven to 170° Celsius. Melt butter and add the honey, mixing them in a small pan over low heat.

Add flour into a large bowl. Stir in the hot liquid mixture.

Beat the eggs and stir slowly those in too. When thoroughly mixed, spoon the mixture into an 18 cm cake tin (or into muffin tray ).

Place in the center of the oven and bake for approximately 30-35 minutes until it rises. For the perfect texture, try inserting a skewer that should come out clean.

Remove from the heat and leave to cool for 10 minutes.
